Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely people at The Broke and the Bookish. This weeks theme is Top 10 books I have read that have less than 2,000 Goodreads ratings. I’ve decided to put my own spin on this by picking 5 with less than 2,000 ratings and 5 with between 20,000 and 10,000 ratings. Check it out below: pictures lead to Goodreads, links to my reviews!
Top 5 Books With Less Than 2,000 Ratings
The Night Stalker (1,744 ratings) – I adored this mystery novel. The characters are fantastic and the plot is great! I highly recommend this if you like a good mystery/thriller.
Shtum (569 ratings) – This story is beautiful, poignant and so emotional. It is about a family living with an autistic child. It is full of painful, raw emotion but such an important read.
Radio Silence (483 ratings) – I cannot believe this doesn’t even have 500 ratings yet! It’s a flipping fantastic book and I didn’t hesitate when giving it 5 stars! A great young adult novel that explores relationships with family and friends, with so much more packed into it.
Downton Abbey: A Celebration (251 ratings) – If you are a fan of the show Downton Abbey then this book is a great collectors item. It is full of gorgeous photography of the cast, set and costumes as well as cast interviews and behind the scenes information. Fantastic!
Cysgod y Cryman (33 ratings) – During my time at University, I read many Welsh language novels but this is the one that really stuck with me. In fact, I think I’m due a reread of this Welsh classic.
Top 5 Books With Between 10,000 and 20,000 Ratings
Tiger Lily (15,949 ratings) – If you like Peter Pan and retellings then this is a great book for you. It follows Tiger Lily’s story cleverly told through the eyes of Tinkerbell.
The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender (15,957 ratings) – This is a book I bought purely for its cover last year and ended up really liking. It is a magical tale with plenty of mystery and gorgeous writing.
The Girl in the Ice (15,312 ratings) – The first book in the Detective Erika Foster series and it’s definitely a fantastic read. If you like great characters, good mystery and police procedural books then this is definitely worth checking out!
The Gun Seller (14,777 ratings) – This book is written by the love of my life, Hugh Laurie. What more is there to say?
My Life On The Road (10,794 ratings) – This book taught me a lot and helped me fall in love with Gloria Steinem. I’m not usually a big fan of non-fiction, but this is a fascinating read.
